To promote and revive the concept of Waqf in Mauritius and the region.
To facilitate the development of innovative Waqf instruments.
To establish, advise on, and facilitate the setting up and running of endowments.
To act as Manager of endowments.
To organize talks, conferences, workshops, and training programs, among others, and create awareness on Waqf as a tool for enhancing socio-economic development.
To work in close collaboration with similar national and international organisations.
To promote research, publish and disseminate information on Waqf.
To create and manage endowment funds for the relief of poverty, the advancement of religion, the advancement of education, the protection and embellishment of the environment, and any other purpose beneficial to the public in general.
